Jordanian Scholar Stresses Promoting Seerah of Holy Prophet

IQNA – A Jordanian scholar and preacher highlighted the moral virtues and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH), saying that Muslim scholars should promote the teachings and Seerah of God’s last messenger.

Speaking to IQNA, Sheikh Mustafa Abu Ramman, who is also a memorizer of the entire Quran, offered condolences to the Muslim Ummah on the anniversary of the Holy Prophet’s (PBUH) demise, which falls on the 28th day of the lunar Hijri month of Safar (Monday, September 2).

He noted that until the last moments of his blessed life, Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) had no worries but saving his Ummah.

The Sunni scholar also said that the Prophet (PBUH) left two precious things for the Ummah, referring to the Hadith of Thaqalayn: “I am leaving behind among you two precious things (Thaqalayn), as long as you adhere to them you will never go astray after me. The Book of Allah and my Itrah, my Ahl-ul-Bayt. They will never separate till they come unto me near the Pond, so look how you are going to treat them after me.”

Asked about the Prophet’s (PBUH) teachings and how they can be implemented in today’s society, Abu Ramman highlighted Verse 21 of the Quran’s Surah Al-Ahzab “The Messenger of God is certainly a good example for those of you who have hope in God and in the Day of Judgment and who remember God very often.”

He said the Islamic society must follow the guidelines set by the Prophet (PBUH) and act upon his teachings, to become a society where all people live in peace, security and morality.

The scholar noted that all of the life of the Prophet (PBUH) was spent for guiding Muslims and resolving their problems.

The Prophet (PBUH) taught us how to confront problems in various aspects of life and is the best role model to follow in political, social, economic and other fields, he added.

The Jordanian preacher underscored that the scholars of the Islamic Ummah should elaborate on different aspects of the Seerah and virtues of the Prophet (PBUH) and his teachings for the society, especially children and the youth to learn and implement them in their life.

He reiterate the need for the Seerah of the Holy prophet (PBUH) to be present in all aspects of life, as commanded by God in the Holy Quran.
